I just got a hp 15 laptop for my birthday a few months ago and I'm having issues logging in now. It is very slow, won't even get to the log in page for me to use my laptop. I dont know how to fix this, is it an easy fix or should I take it to get it checked out? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi erikagann :)

Let's start by the beginning, to see what you have installed on your laptop that could cause it to boot slowly.

3Al62Pm.pngList Installed Programs
  • Download MiniToolBox and move it to your Desktop;
  • Execute it by double-clicking on it;
  • Check the "List Installed Programs" checkbox;

  • Click on the Go button;
  • Once the scan is complete, a log will open.

  • Copy/paste (select the Notepad, press Ctrl + A then Ctrl + C to copy, and Ctrl + V to paste) the content of the output log in your next reply;

Literally all ive installed on it was pinterest, a health and fitness app, Facebook, Netflix, and a cooking app. Thats all I've used it for, its so slow I can't even use it because it never gets past the log in phase for me to use it. I'm not very tech savvy, is there a way to turn it on without going through the log in so I can reset the system?

Yes, HP are very easy to factory restore. Can you tell me what versions of Windows you use on it?
