Hi I have a lenovo flex, 64bit laptop with OS windows 8.1

For some time now, my screen has been going light and dark, no matter what I do with the power options.

I know there is a fix for it, but I don't know what it is, and would love it if someone could help me out.

I will be happy to provide more information if required.

dandelioner,

Try right-clicking your desktop and looking for something either "Intel" or "AMD Catalyst Center", there could be another screen brightness setting(s) in there.

Good luck!

Hi  Fusionbomb, thanks fo your reply.

It's intel options.

The options are

Panel fit

Hotkeys

Tray icon

Balloon notificatoin

Rotation

Profiles,

Each of these options have got sub-options, but are double duch to me.

I also have graphics properties.

These options are

Resolution

Refresh rate

Rotation

Scaling

there are graphics options, but I don't know which to choose. Alot of the options in the graphics properties are also greyed out, but that might be something to do with the options being ticked.

I don't know what each of these options are, and there seems nothing for brightness.

Please could you help

I also went to the display options on the control panel but most of my options are greyed out.

thanks
