We are two students participating in a double degree programme of the master Innovation Management at the University of Twente and the TU Berlin. For a course at the TU Berlin we are doing a research on the topic of software patenting. For this research we would like to ask some questions to experts in the field, like you.
We hope that you are willing to answer some questions related to the topic of patenting software.
First of all, do you see any added value in patenting software? Since they are already protected by Copyright.
Second, which factors play a role when deciding for a software patent?
Third, do you have any experience with patenting software? If so, was it negative or positive?
