You are most welcome Linda
Glad to hear that all is now well and thank you for letting us know your positive update will no doubt help others with the same or a similar computer problem.
Just an update I have been running with no problems whatsoever Yesterday I realised I haddnt reinstalled my Kasper sky (not the free version I have a key) I reinstalled it and this morning started with the same problem so I have uninstalled Kasper sky and now running fine again hmmm now not sure which anti virus to install been with kasper for years get it free through my bank any suggestions once again Thankyou
Are you aware that Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 have an updated version of Windows Defender that offers the same real time protection as Microsoft Security Essentials, you do not need third party AV protection and by not installing any you are reducing the possibility of potential conflicts and freeing up resources on your computer, information courtesy of admin here
So I dont need Kasper sky anymore? its odd that it has been running a year now with no conflicts then bang haha

No, just be sure to check that after Kaspersky has been correctly uninstalled (see here) that Windows Defender has been automatically enabled and allow it to carry out a full scan and update.

Possibly caused by a recent update.
