Hi.

 

A month ago I have created a Microsoft Word document. I could open it well at the beginning, but now I am struggling with error message: 

The document caused a serious error the last time it was opened. Would you like to continue opening it?

 

I click OK button. The same error...

 

Do you have any suggestions how to work around it? What could make this error and how to fix Word document?

 

I am running Windows 8.1

Office 2013

 

Any hints would be appreciated. Thank you.

Try to open it with OpenOffice or LibreOffice. I found that those can sometimes open files that Word cannot. 

 

Also you can upload the file here https://onlinefile.repair/en/word.html

 

Than re-open the file.
