Please follow the steps below to help troubleshoot your system. Let me know if you have any questions.

Step 1:
Speccy
Download Speccy to your desktop

1. File > Save Snapshot. This will create a file called [hostname].speccy
2. File > Publish Snapshot. This saves your snapshot to their servers
3 Copy and Paste the link to your next Reply

Step 2:
Click on Start menu
Type command to start searching
Right click on command prompt in list and select Run Administrator
Copy and Paste each the commands below into the command prompt and press Enter key

1. sfc /scannow (best to run 2-3 times, rebooting after each time)

(Windows 8 or higher)
2. dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

When these have completed:
Right click on the top bar command window
Left click on Edit then Select All
Right click on the top bar again
Left click on edit then copy
paste into your reply

If any Errors are found with sfc /scannow then:
Type the following command, and then press ENTER:
findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt"
Upload sfcdetails.txt from your desktop

Step 3:
Download Process Explorer to your desktop

1. Right Click on the procexp64.exe or procexp.exe and Select Run As Administrator
3. In the View menu click on Select Columns
4. Check Verified Signer, Virus Total and Click OK
5. Select Options Menu and Check Verify Image Signatures, VirusTotal.com > Check Virustotal.com
6. Double Click on the CPU Column to sort by highest CPU usage.
7. (Highest CPU Processes should be at the top once sorted properly)
8. Wait approximately a minute
9. Select Save or Save As from the File menu
10. Save SystemIdleProcess.txt to Desktop
11.Upload or Paste to next reply

Step 4:
Download Event Viewer Tool to your desktop

2.. Under Select log to query
3. select System
4. Under Select type to list
Select:
* Error
* Warning
Choose the Number of events as follows:
Click on number of events
Type 20 in the box (1 to 20)
Click the Run button (Notepad will open the log)
Upload files to next reply
Rename to SystemLog.txt or it will be overwritten

Run the above steps again Except at step 3.
Select Application
Rename log file to ApplicationLog.txt
Upload or Paste to next reply

Warning! more than one Antivirus program is running on your system!

The following Antivirus programs are running on your system

  1. Bulldog Antivirus
  2. Windows Defender

Multiple Antiviruses is a Bad Idea
Having more than one antivirus installed and running can cause several issues. Antivirus programs don't play very well with each other because all of them want to control the system and resources. This can slow a system down considerably and cause a variety of issues such as erratic system behavior, Slow system, Freezing and even BSODs that can completely lock the operating system down. Also having more than one antivirus installed can produce false positives and actually provide less protection.

Please follow the steps below:

  • Continue using your Paid version if you are satisfied
  • Verify that your subscription is still active and renew if necessary

Optional - Use one of the Recommended ones or download a Free Antivirus Program

  • Download the Removal tool for your programs listed below
  • Run the Removal tool and follow any instructions to completely remove your programs
  • Install the new Antivirus program if needed
  • Run a quick scan from your Antivirus program to verify it is working
  • Let me know your choice and if the scan completed or any other issues

Removal Tools:

Bullguard Antivirus

Recommended Antivirus Programs

  • Windows Defender (Windows 8 and higher)
  • Microsoft Security Essentials (Win 7)

The integrated Windows antivirus programs are far lighter on resources and do not contain any of the extra junkware, ads, or paid upgrades like other antivirus programs. Most importantly, since it is made by Microsoft as part of the system it doesn't need work-arounds or hooks into your system, so its actually safer and provides better performance than other antivirus programs.

Hi,

I am using the bullguard removal tool and has so far taken 4 hours to get to about 20% is this sort of timing correct or do i need to start over?

Just found out that windows has 7 important updates, could this affect the speed?

No something is wrong with that uninstall then. Please try running the removal tool after restart8ng into safe mode as follows. Also hold off on the Windows updates until we get these other issues fixed.

1. Start Computer.
2. Continuously Press F8 Key as soon as your computer starts.
3. Select one of the following Safe Mode options you are instructed to from the Advanced Boot Options screen:
  • Safe Mode
  • Safe Mode with Networking
  • Command Prompt
4. Wait for Safe Mode to load.
5. Logon with an Administrator account.
6. Select YES from the "Windows is running in safe mode" dialog box.

(sfcdetails.txt) this file was blank when i opened it so i copied and pasted. I am not sure whether i have done it right?

also how would it affect my computer if i turned it off tonight?

just to double check, what part of the previous Post would i copy & paste (think it's on the 3rd one)?

Would i be able to run the same scan again and have the same effect?

what would you like me to do next?
