Hi,

I have recently had an issue with playback of  MKV files. I did not do any changes at all to my laptop except to turn it off, I usually leave it on for months at a time.

The issue is the video is choppy, this is also accompanied with a static crackling noise. I have tried to play the files on four different media players. I have updated the media players, I have updated device drivers and windows 10 is updated. The files play perfectly fine on my other computer. Also get issues streaming video on youtube for example, there are static pops in the sound.

Not sure if this is related but when I reboot my laptop there is a new error message: "The following product information programmed into the system board is missing or invalid. System Board (00A) - Product Configuration".

I have not made any changes to the laptop at all.

Thank you in advance!!!

Yes I have gone to that page before and other pages to troubleshoot the problem. As stated above I have not replaced the system board or anything else for that matter, so that link is not relevant.

Hello.

Also
The following product information programmed into the system board is missing or invalid. System Board (00A) - Product Configuration".

see here,

Please don't download anything the site is offering.

-->I would run system file checker and DISM command as mentioned on the site.

See here to run SFC / SCANNOW

Some food for thought just in case, never know and I understand there old links but some of them could contain a clue, if system file checker does not fix anything.
