Hi, could anyone help me with a problem i've been having on my computer for the past few days?
On thursday i re-formatted my computer and re-installed windows, however since then i seem to lose my broadband connection, even though the lights on my modem say it's fine, this can happen between a minute and a hour, when i lose my connection i have to reboot the modem and sometimes my pc for the internet to work again. My ISP say there isn't anything wrong with my modem at their end, it says it's online when i could get on the internet. <_<

The 2nd problem i've had is when i log onto the computer, i get an error coming up which reads..."C:\WINDOWS\System32\explorer.exe is not a valid Win32 application." :D

Any help would be appreciated. :D

Welcome to GTG Jimmy. Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log back here with the results.

Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

Download, unzip, and run this tool first:

Then see if you can run Hijack This.

In order to detect whether you are infected by HackDefender, please download this utility: http://bagpuss.swan....torv0[1].62.zip

Download, unzip, run and reply with the results.
