I am currently sitting on a 4Mbit fiberoptic connection. 4Mbit/s up- and downstream. My ISP though also offers 10/10Mbit and just recently 50/25Mbit connections.
Not too bad at all, but I am happy with my measly 4Mbit hehe

Baggyboy I think they are doing it region by region can you confirm this ? Although they will be changing it back in December end !
Yeah, they are doing this region by region, however it's news to me that it's going back down again in december!
Thanks for cheering me up lol
Have you heard the news that NTL have finalised a deal to buy Telewest for £6bn?
BBC Tech News article
Not a good sign for us yonderer's methinks, I forsee the rapid rollout of monthly download caps like the current NTL service... Probably just after they take back the extra 3.25Mb/s I've had the pleasure of using these past few weeks.
Pesky monopolies and their pesky profit margins.

NTL speeds are very fast so who knows they may make it even faster.

Ehh, I would love 10Mb, but frankly I have no problem with 5.2
I'm just greedy like that.
Anyone know how good the Broadband Wireless ploy is? I haven't even started to look into it. If it can take over the Cyber Cafe small barrier problem, might actually be good (until the tower goes down and you get cut off...while 20 miles away from a computer).
