The interference may not be intentional. There is a program called Inssider that will let you know what other signals are present and which channel they are on. If you have access to your router you can log on to it and move your router to a different channel so that the other signal no longer bothers you. If you don't know how, tell me what router make and model you have and I can look it up for you.
Download inssider
Double click to install it. This will create a shortcut on your desktop. Double click on the shortcut to run.
Click on Networks. It will show you what channel you are running on and what other signals are on the same and other channels. Not the channel you are using and look for one that appears to have less activity.
