I dont know exactly what you mean. Your router automatically configs itself for all the pc's on your network.

Im confused.. that was more than likely for someone else.


To get a server up an running if you have a router, you have to enable dmz host or the port forwarding way. Thats all you have to do for the router part. That other info was for another person.

After you set the dmz host or port forward in your router go into the game and set the settings for your server like hostname, maxrate, punkbuster on or off up to you on that, put pure server on. Make shure that dedicated is set to internet.

Just goto start server. It will then minimize a console to your desktop for the server. Just leave that alone and leave it minimized!!!! Now go back into the game again and now find your server in the server list..


That is how you get a server started up. There is many ways to configure the server like by using a server config file or just by going into the game and setting the stuff manually every time. You can even start the server by just clicking onto a new shortcut that you can make and add commands to the target line so the server automatically starts up itself. Dont worry about all these ways and get complicated, just try the way I said first its the easiest.


If you have trouble with your server not being shown onto the internet list you will have to read through the forum, that is what it is here for. Thats all I can help you.. Cya

View port range forwarding is for some linksys routers, look in your routers config page again for something like it.

It is explained in this long thread though it might of been directed to a person in general but its still explained..


When you open a server on dedicated set to internet (yes) it opens a console to the desktop, this is normal. After it does that it is not suppost to do anything else guys. Its not suppost to automatically open the game for you to join it...

You have to leave the console minimized then go back into the game again by clicking on cod then go find your server in the list.. Make shure you update the list. This is explained many times.

That ammo error has something to do with a mod that you downloaded from someones server or you might need to reinstall the game and it wouldnt hurt to update to the latest patch. You will not see the servers on 1.41 anymore, all the servers will be different.
