That should be folders, not files. Can you tell me what you can see in the folder "repair" ?

And you copied the textfile to the windows folder of the infected system? Means it is at C:\Windows\regcopy1.txt?

Now it copied 5 files but could not find 3 files

Should I still type exit?

I did and it says: Windows cannot start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

It says after that: You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the original Setup CD-ROM
Select "r" at the first screen to start repair

I will do this since we started this thread, but you have no CD :)

Ok, now I have some manual work for you :)

Please boot with OTLPE CD, look if you can find c:\windows\repair\system.

If yes, please copy it into c:\windows\system32\config\ so you will have c:\windows\system32\config\system.

If you get a message to overwrite, please allow it.

Ok, please copy the bak file into c:\windows\system32\config and rename it to system.
