Sorry Happyrock.... wasn't sure and tried running the straight SP1 and got the error below....
And again I don't understand what you wanted me to post as there weren't any entries that said, "can't fix"...
I will go and try running the readiness tool now.... Thanks....

There are two different downloads for update readiness tools...
(I'm running Vista, (home premium, with no service packs installed, 32bit)

The one I have download and have tried is:
Windows6.0-KB947821-v7-x86.msu

I just went to double check and saw this one:
Windows6.0-KB947821-v4-x86.msu

I'm downloading and going to try the second, as I think the first may have required that I already have a service pack installed??? If, it fails I will try the other one again... Sorry for all my crazy...=~)

go to C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log and look for the most recent entry.
If you find just too many entries just delete that WindowsUpdate.log and try installing the updates again.

Now open the newly re-created WindowsUpdate log file and have a look at its contents. The warnings will probably appear as

WARNING: Failed to find updates with error code XXXXXXXX.
copy and paste the error codes back here...

No, I didn't make a recovery disc.... Or maybe I did, but jeez, honestly it'd take me days to find it...
I do have a friend's Vista disk, but hers is Vista Basic with SP1, where mine is Vista Home Premium...
Is there a certain file I'm missing?
(searching for file now....)
