i dont have norton the labtop came with titanium and these are the results

If you are certain you have the latest of all the drivers offered on the gateway link I sent you AND you have NOT installed a program that is NOT compatable with Windows 7 64 bit.
The before we proceed with other possible issues - HOW old is this laptop pls as I see it was only first marketed in the summer of last year.
If it is still under return to base warrantry - this is your best option.

Have you installed any registry cleaning programs or make it go faster programs, these are all unwanted and on many occasions danagerous to the health of the computer.
Also are you up to date with any Windows updates.

well i tried to reboot the whole computer because i did think it was the drivers but it froze everytime i tried to update them and now my laptop wont even load up im stuck at a screen sayin starting system services but then i get a message saying windows installer has failed and needs to restart and i cant go in safe mode or use the command prompt. Is there anyway to get my computer to the sign in screen?
ps. laptop did not come with boot cd

I am not sure what you mean - by I tried to reboot the WHOLE computer.
Can we go back to my question - HOW OLD IS IT.
If it is still under warrantry, once we have tried driver updates, uninstalling any questionable compatable programs etc. It really is best for you to go back to the supplier.
The more you run in an attempt to solve it, the more room for him to allege you have caused extra problems.

I suggest if you do take it back - you print the Who Crashed logs and the chkdsk reuslts
