I get to the link Secunia Software Inspector
Download and install FileHippo from here by saving it to your desktop. It is easier to use then the Secunia tool!
Here is the link, just save it to your desktop and run it from there when you need it. It does not install.link to d/l the free TFC

There are a few things tho ...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OK first I have no idea what you mean by this ->
One of the most important steps is to backup your data regularly.
you mentioned a plan to purchase a new external drive. When you do be sure to back up your personal files, especially documents, spreadsheets, photos, and emails.
Free drive image programs I have used that work well include:
EaseUs Todo
DriveImage XML
The best purchased one I have used:
Acronis
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then ....
I noticed I cant log into geeks to go from that computer now?! Dont know why ... I can log on on this computer but not that one .. think its something I may have installed from the list of recommendations that you sent. I log in .. It says it was a successful log in but then Im not logged in. I can see our posts ... but I cant add a reply or have access to the forum to post or my account.
The other thing is .. I have another computer (actually my 12 yr old sons computer) that needs to be cleaned .. its slow but not sure what is wrong with it .. how do I go about fixing that one? I can pist it here or do I have to start a new thread?

You cannot connect because of NoScripts in FireFox, please go to Tools >> Add-onsI noticed I cant log into geeks to go from that computer now?! Dont know why ... It says it was a successful log in but then Im not logged in. I can see our posts ... but I cant add a reply or have access to the forum to post or my account.
Then Disable No Scripts and restart FireFox then it should all work.

You should back up your data to an external drive. These three programs can be used to do that.
You will need to start a new thread but we will get to it quickly. The other thing is .. Open Firefox
Click Help
Click Restart with Add-ons Disabled...
Verify you can connect to Geekstogo.
Step 2.
If you can now log in we need to determine which add-on is causing the issue.
To determine which of your disabled extensions was causing your problem, you can re-enable each extension one at a time.
- At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP), and then click Add-ons. The Add-ons Manager tab will open.
- In the Add-ons Manager tab, select the Extensions panel.
- Click the name of an extension in the list to select it.
- Click Enable to enable the selected extension.
- Click Restart Firefox.
After you find the extension that was causing your problem, disable or uninstall the faulty extension and re-enable the other extensions in the Add-ons window.

In the meantime ... Now that you and your instructor has fixed my computer I want to say thank you from the heart! I am very appreciative in all that you both have done for me and I know you all do this on your free time.
Is there a section of the forum to post my appreciation so all can see?
