Hi, I am really hoping that someone here can help me. I have been getting a BSOD stop: 0x50 Page fault in nonpaged area. I have a second computer with the same hardware so I have swapped out (one at a time) the ram, cpu, graphics card, and power supply. The bsod still occurs. I also tested each ram slot individually with no change. I did a clean install of Windows 7. At this point, I am having trouble updating drivers, installing updates for windows, and installing programs in general. I was able to put some drivers onto a usb drive and install from there, but it does not always work. If I try to use windows update or install anything (java included) I get the bsod. Also, if the system is being used to surf the web, play a game, or something like that it does not blue screen, but if you leave the system idle or try to install anything it will blue screen. It is always the same error.

Here are the specs for the computer:

CPU: Intel i-5
Motherboard: Gigabyte X58-USB3
Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 560
Power Supply: Antec 550watt
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM

0x00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
Requested data was not in memory. An invalid system memory address was referenced. Defective memory (including main memory, L2 RAM cache, video RAM) or incompatible software (including remote control and antivirus software) might cause this Stop message, as may other hardware problems (e.g., incorrect SCSI termination or a flawed PCI card).

The issue may be the motherboard itself.
Video memory could also be the culprit.
Did you install a AV or any remote access software?



Download BlueScreenView
No installation required.
Double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

All of these problems were happening with a clean install of windows 7. No AV yet and no remote access software. I've tested everything in the computer except the motherboard so if it's a hardware problem then that's probably it. Hoping it isn't, but at least it's still under warranty.

Let me ask is the installation disk genuine from Microsoft or is it a downloaded burned copy?

Ok the errors are all related to Microsoft Window files.
It would appear that the fresh install has been faulty.
Can you try the below and let me know what the results are.



Go HERE and read the tutorial that shows how to do SFC or System File Checker and running in a Elevated Command Prompt in Vista and Win7.

Purchased from arvato digital services. It was a school offer so we got it cheaper, but still the full version.

Ok, I ran the scan and it says, "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."

Should I try to do another reinstall and see if that fixes the errors?

OK something is corrupting the windows files so we;re going to have to do this one step at a time.

Run hard drive diagnostics: http://www.tacktech....ay.cfm?ttid=287
Make sure, you select tool, which is appropriate for the brand of your hard drive.
Depending on the program, it'll create bootable floppy, or bootable CD.
If downloaded file is of .iso type, use ImgBurn: http://www.imgburn.com/ to burn .iso file to a CD (select "Write image file to disc" option), and make the CD bootable.

NOTE. If your hard drive is made by Toshiba, try the Hitachi DFT CD Image version of the software

Sorry it took me so long to get back. I am unable to download the software for seagate diagnostics. It requires the .net framework 4 from Microsoft and I get the blue screen every time that I try to install it. Same bsod error 0x50.

I did a clean install from a different windows 7 disk just in case. Used the same serial number since it was the same version, but still no change to anything. I'm kind of thankful that I did both computers with the same hardware & software since it does make testing parts a bit easier.

You shouldn't be installing anything. If you downloaded the DOS CD ISO version then you simply burn it to a cd using the instructions for imgburn. Reboot the system with the cd in the drive and it should boot straight to the diagnostic program before windows has a chance to start.
