I have tried giving permission. When I go into Safe Mode,All Programs. Accessories (Run) doesn't show up. I know I'm a pain and I do appreciate your help. I went into Safe Mode with Command Prompt, put in Regedit and still can't delete it.

Run is as simple as pressing your Windows Key and the letter R at the same time. So not sure what you're really stuck on... Sorry. Can you please be a bit more specific or use the method listed earlier in this post to get your Run item?

I'm not stuck. I ran Regedit in safe mode and couldn't delete the Office Folder. Before safe mode I made sure that I had permissions and that didn't work.

In the permissions section, what are you typing in for your user? Lou? Lou would apply to the one we made with a password, which you are welcome to use.

Well, how did you delete it? As for black screen with cursor, does that apply for both the profiles you can log into? How about if you load up Safe Mode? Does that allow you to see your desktop?

I deleted it in regedit with permissions. I have tried safe mode and Last known good config. All I can get is a black screen with the cursor in the middle, It will say loading Windows then black. It doesn't get to the log in screen. Can I repair Windows with my Install Disk??

You seem to have offset permissions to more than the key you were supposed to, likely for the whole Microsoft key and sub keys/values. Including Windows. So if that is the case, you need to do the following - Please select which step 6 applies to you (first one is if you have your Windows Installation Disk and the Second is if you do NOT).

STEP SIX: Booting Up
  • Please insert the Windows disk for your system at this time, after which you should turn your system off. Once the system is off, turn it back on and follow the on screen instructions for accessing your boot options. I've taken the liberty to list a few of the common make/brands default key(s) to do this below, note that some have more than one option as it changes based on your model:
  • Acer: Esc, F12, F9
  • Asus: Esc, F8 (rarely is it F8)
  • Compaq: Esc, F9
  • Dell: F12
  • eMachines: F12
  • HP: F9 or Esc and then F9 for boot menu
  • Lenovo: F12, F10, F8 (rarely is it F8)
  • Sony: Esc, F11
  • Toshiba: F12

To view the full list please clickHERE.
Once you're at the boot menu, select your CD/DVD ROM that has the Windows disk in it. Once the initial check of the disk is done with, you may see a prompt asking you to 'Press any key...' to boot to the disk - So be prepared to press a key (I use the space bar personally). Now that we've successfully loaded into the disk/media, it will show you a window with a few options. On this window please select 'Repair your computer'.

Now you should see a window called System Recovery Options, in which before we proceed I need you to capture some key information from the screen. Please look for the Operating System we need to repair in the left column and then look over towards the right of that for the column labelled Location. You must capture the information here, specifically the drive letter (example: (D:)). Once you've done this, please then click Next.

On this screen, you will see multiple options. Please follow the next steps to determine what to do from this point, as this step was specifically for guiding you to this screen, the System Recovery Options screen.STEP SIX:
Please turn the machine off completely at this time. Once it is turned off, turn it on and start pressing the F8 key. You must press the key prior to Windows loading, as if Windows starts loading it will not do what we need it to. If you did it in time, you will get to a screen with a black background and white text, with a title of Advanced Boot Options. You use your up/down arrow keys to change the highlighted line between the options given.

What I need you to do is guide the highlighted line up to the option and then have you hit your ENTER key.

Please follow the next steps to determine what to do from this point, as this step was specifically for guiding you to this screen, the System Recovery Options screen.STEP SEVEN: Attempt Restore Point
Use the restore point option and go to a PRIOR time, prior to today if possible. Please post full details on any errors you may run into for this. STEP EIGHT:
NOTE: If the restore point fails, please follow this step. If you were able to restore, don't follow this please.
On the System Recovery Options screen I need you to select the Command Prompt option (should be bottom option). Once in the Command Prompt please use the following code:
sfc /scannow /offbootdir=d:\ /offwindir=d:\windows

That code may run for a while, if it completes and does not give any errors please reboot now. If it errors out, please use the following code and then post back with the specific error while the following code runs...
chkdsk d: /R

After pressing the F8 key I get the black screen. My version has ( Repair Your Computer) (Safe Mode) (Safe Mode with Networking) (Safe Mode with Command Prompt) (Enable Boot Logging) (Enable Low Res video) (Last known good Configuration)(Direct Services Restore Mode) ( Debug Mode) (Disable Auto restart) (Disable driver signature enforce) What do I choose? I don't have system restore. So should I just skip that and put in the windows disk?

Yes and no. You lose data but it can keep data in a Windows.old file. Then you can restore your data or files and reinstall your programs.

Also the commands prompt should have some white text abs allow keyboard inpit.

ps: excuse typos as I'm on my phone.
