OK, i did everything and it all went smooth until i had to enter my Product Key, it said that the key was no longer valid. I do not know what the problem is i literally just had windows installed perfectly fine and now it says it isn't valid.

Is Windows 7 installed on the machine from factory?

It's a Laptop or Desktop, post the brand and model please.

Ok. Lets see if we can fix that...

  • create a new folder on the root of C: drive and call it Win7Act
  • download the zip file Win7OEMDell.zip and save it on the folder C:\Win7Act
  • extract the zip file to the folder C:\Win7Act
  • a file called Activate.cmd will be extracted, right click on it and click Edit
  • now carefully edit the file by replacing only the text XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX with your Windows 7 Key. Save the file.
  • right click the Activate.cmd file and click Run as Administrator
The Command Prompt window will open with the script running, it will take some time do to the work. Press Enter when you see the prompt Press any key to continue... and wait. The process is finished only when you see the message Done. Check if windows is activated!

Check system properties to confirm if windows is activated.

Hi,

Make sure you are reading the code correctly, sometimes the COA sticker is old, some letters may appear as numbers and vice versa.

Thank You for let us know. If I'm remember correctly your case you should reinstall Internet Explorer 9 most likely I doesn't work after the Repair install...

Install Internet Explorer by visiting this page. Its available Internet Explorer 9 and 10, some pages don't work correctly with Internet Explorer 10 that is currently the latest version fro Windows 7, if you use mostly another browser its advised to install IE 10 to make the system more secure.

It depends can you run Internet Explorer? If you open IE and access the Help menu -> About does it say you have IE 10 installed?
