So im on my laptop and i check my account and it clearly is an Administrator account. Actually its the only account. But for some reason i cant do ANYTHING regarding administrator access. i cant open apps or run command prompt as admin im stuck. i need help to gain admin back to my admin account. weird right? So please help cause i Googled literally for 5 hours straight and found nothing. Any help will be extremely appreciated

So from Control Panel, User Accounts, your account shows as

 

account name

Local Account

Administrator

Password Protected

 

or something like that?

 

Can you create a new Account with Administrator rights?

yes you can ..

i had a similar problem..i logged on to administrator account and created a new account ...the new account automatically changes to standard user..if that happens successfully then should be able to access admin priveledges ...
