Couple of questions first;

 

How does the computer behave now that you are using Google as your default browser.

 

Is/was there any pattern to the BSOD as in did/does it only happen when you are connected to the internet or does it happen anytime.

 

Looked at your last three dmps again dated 22/05/2017 up to 27/05/2017 and definitely still see traces of Norton present.

 

Not much showing in Speccy but there are a couple of points to mention;

 

Not a lot of updates shown to have been installed since Installation Date: 30/07/2011 1:14:15 PM

 

Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Tray Icon Do you know what this is and when did you run it.

I'll disconnect the HD with issues and the Tweaking Tool someone on this site said to use as it is repairs windows and was used a couple months ago.  Can I use Mozilla as a browser?  Can I run the Norton Removal Tool again?  Crashes happen while on the internet.  I have a yellow warning in Device Manager with the Teredo Tunneling interface.  I had issues with my iphone not being seen on our system.  I went to printers and devices and was able to troubleshoot it and repair.  Also tried to repair the tunneling device with no success.

That is not a tweaking tool, it is the Windows All in One repair tool provided courtesy of Tweaking.Com, the two are miles apart and the Windows AIO tool that Tweaking.Com provide is something that many of us have used ourselves and suggested to many others who have used so called system optimizers and/or registry tweaking tools and ended up hosing their OS   the AIO tool is a brilliant program and should not be used in the same breath as any junk programs that I dare not mention here.

 

To avoid repetition and save time can you please answer each question asked, not a problem with asking questions along the way as long as we also get the feedback we need as well, leave the Norton issue for the moment please and instead address the below;

 

How does the computer behave now that you are using Google as your default browser.

 

 

If you have also had problems with Google then you will with Mozilla as well so the answer would be not at the moment.

 

I have a yellow warning in Device Manager with the Teredo Tunneling interface.  I

 

 

Right click on it in Device Manager, click on uninstall, shut down then restart the computer and see if Windows re installs the device.

Question 1, bsod this am.

Question 2, ie 11 keeps asking me if I want to have it as my default browser which I closed.

Question 3, ran removal tool again and resolved the adapter issue.

Did a search and Norton still comes up, how do I remove the rest?

Is the tweaking.com not a tool?

1: You will need to see if the computer crashes now that you have gotten rid of the yellow ! on the Teredo Tunneling interface device.

2: Is Google set as your default browser.

3: What removal tool did you run, it was suggested that you uninstall the Teredo Tunneling interface in the Device Manager.

 

Some additional AV removal tools here and here but have another suggestion first, uninstall Microsoft Security Essentials in Add or Remove Programs, download and install Norton Antivirus (free) from here once it has installed, allow it to check your computer, once that has been done, use the Norton removal tool to see if that gets rid of everything related to Symantec/Norton AV.

 

Tweaking.Com is not a tool no, it is the name of the company that wrote the Windows All in One repair program.

I ran the Norton Removal Tool that you asked me to use.  I ran it again last night and the yellow warning sign disappeared.  Now I have only one network adapter.  Wife said computer crashed this morning.  I'll have to figure out how to make Google my default browser.  IE 11 is asking to make it the default but I haven't responded to the request.  I'm using Norton provided by my provider Comcast.

Sorry but I am at a loss  your OP was on April 24th 2017, on April 25th 2017 you were advised that Norton was the most likely cause of your crashes, you have not mentioned before now that Norton was provided by Comcast and I am not sure what you mean by the above "I'm using Norton provided by my provider Comcast."

 

Comcast instructions for removing Norton here using the same Norton removal tool was suggested on April 25th 2017, the problems that you are having suggests that MSE could have installed when you originally downloaded it and whilst you still had Norton installed.

Used the removal tool first then installed MSE.  I'm trying to remove the last of the Norton items from our PC.  Plus you never asked me.  What if I don't want to use Google Chrome?

This is by the by now but I did post the following in my reply #4;

 

If your AV protection is a paid for product, please make a note of the product key number first and then download a good free AV protection to see if the problem is solved;

 

 

Had you told us in your reply #5 that Norton had been provided by Comcast it would have been suggested that you contact their customer care and have them look into it, Comcast provided you with the product and you are paying them for a stable internet service after all.

 

Trying Chrome is a troubleshooting step, once the issue is resolved use whatever browser you want.

I tried using the two AV removal tools you suggested by they came up web page can't be found.  So manually removed the rest of the Norton items after investigating where they lead.  Uninstalled MSE and reinstalled as a precaution thinking maybe there wasn't a clean uninstall of Norton using the Removal Tool.  No tunneling Adapter issues and wait to see if it is fixed or a crash.

After about a month with changing our AV and IE 11 is not our default browser we had a BSOD again.  Attached dump file.
