Hello Bruce,

I cannot find the Microsoft basic render driver, it only lists:

Intel® HD graphics 530 & NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M at the display adapters,

Which one should I remove?

With kind regards

Hello Bruce,

I removed the driver, and everytime when I open the NVIDIA driver installation in stops responding at the third step: options. I also tried the installer for the not newest version (382.05). What should I do?

With kind regards

Johannes,

PS. The screen of the installer turns blurry and then stops responding.

Both have nothing besides it, but I am afraid that I couldn't remove the full driver, everytime when I clicked: uninstall, it started and the screen turned black, then It gave the notification sound but I couldn't see what it was. after I restarted the laptop with using the power button, It turned on like before.

With kind regards

Ok, can you disable the NVIDIA adapter and see what happens.

A black arrow pointing down appears near the icon. The screen flashes black a few times, and thats it.

Hi JohannesK

Please run this Intel utility from Intel site.
Download to your computer and run the utility. Follow the on screen instructions.
Please report back what it finds before installing anything.

Thanks

Hello Bruce,

This programm uses internet connection to check. This is not working, I don't have any internet connection on that laptop. (as in: it is connected to the WiFi, but just doesn't get a signal.)

With kind regards

Johannes

Hi JohannesK

That's strange.

Can you get to a command prompt? If so try typing the following -

Ping www.google.com and press return
Ping 216.58.206.68 and press return

What does each one return?

respond of first one:

Reply from 172.xxx.xx.xx: bytes=32 time=11ms TTL=56

Ping statistics for 172.xxx.xx.xx:

Packets: Sent=4, Received = 4, Lost =0

Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:

minimum = 10 ms, maximum = 14 ms, average = 11 ms

Second one:

the same, except for the TTL=53

Minimum = 17 ms, aximums = 19 ms, average=17 ms

Isn't there a windows restore disc which saves my programms and files, but can be used to restore the data which I can download somewhere?

Because it appears to me that it is not only a driver issue, nor only an internet ussue.

With kind regards
