Recently, some of my keyboard keys stopped working after I tried to clean my keys with some tissue paper and water (it seemed like a good idea at the time) after so the keys were fin and I closed my laptop screen. After coming back I tried to log in with my password, but I then at the time realized that some of my keys weren't working. The odd thing is that whenever I press the 't' key it turns up the brightness now. I've tried uninstalling the keyboard HID driver and reinstalling it but nothing has been fixed. A plugged-in keyboard currently works. I would greatly appreciate it if someone can give me either an answer but most importantly a solution.

fontus,
Recently, some of my keyboard keys stopped working after I tried to clean my keys with some tissue paper and water

Good call as this effectively rules out a software/Windows issue and points more towards hardware.
How much water was involved, the odd keyboard behaviour could be caused by a short circuit.
Avoid using the notebooks keypad for a few days and stick with using the external keyboard, the keypad may dry out from the heat generated inside the chassis and then return to normal, if not, you will need to remove and possibly replace the keypad.

It was barley any water on the tissue just enought to make it moist , and the 't' key came back, which most likely means it was the water. I find this quite odd as ive done this numerous other times but nothing as serious as this has occured. Ill update you in a couple of days to see if there has been a solution. Thank you for your time and advice!
