Hi, I am hoping someone can shed some light on an issue recently experienced. I received a text message from a stored contact in my phone, this number is a landline which is very odd in itself, but even more odd is the contact and number belongs to my grandmother, who is in her 90's, she does not even know what a text message is!!!

The message read "This is urgent. Call me back". The message was received at around 18.00 in the evening, but is showing on my phone seemingly originally received at 14.00 in the afternoon. I did call my grandmother earlier in the day around 14.00, however she was out, so there was no answer.

After receiving the text I called my grandmother at 1800, from another phone. She answered and asked me if I had been trying to call her, as she had received 3 calls just prior to my phone call, all of which hung up when she answered.

I am not sure what is going on here, but assume it is some kind of scam or possibly malicious software on my phone. I think somehow her contact details have been taken from my phone and the missed calls she had was someone tapping into the line to send the text??? Can anyone shed any light as to what has possibly happened?

I have checked all my apps, which appear normal and run a couple of basic free virus scans, from Kaspersky and Malwarebytes - they found nothing.

Any help or understanding on what has happened here would be greatly appreciated,

Many Thanks
