Hi all,
I have a Dell XPS 8940 and needed to install a graphics card to run a 3D scan processing application. I ended up getting a GEFORCE RTX 3060 Ti (dual-rtx3060ti-O8GD6X) as I saw it was compatible with the computer. I have since installed it and realized the power from the computer is 6pin while the GPU is 2, 8 pin power. I'm not extremely computer literate so this may sound dumb but is there a converter for the computer's current powers supply to make the GPU functional or do I need an external power supply to run it?
If I do need an external power supply, do you have any recommendations? Once plugged in and turned on do I need to activate anything or will the GPU just be running and I can start running my applications?
Thank you for your help in advance!
