Read here, see if it helps: How to troubleshoot problems when you install or uninstall programs on a Windows-based computer

Especially look at the cause and resolution sections.

I have tried these resolutions prior to coming to this form. Thanks. Just over a year ago I upgraded my Vista install (OEM) to Windows 7 HP all has been fine. However I don't have a DVD of Windows 7, because I just purchased the upgrade from the Microsoft Store online. I now have the X17-59465.iso file but when I went to use the Windows7-USB-DVD.exe program to burn the iso to dvd I got this error.

Create a restore point then go to the site below and download the .msi file then unzip it to your desktop then right click and then select merge then reboot and check updates.

Thanks, I have attached the sfc /scannow results just from today. CBS Log file (had to compress is to upload). If you don't mind to look at it. Seems like many issued remained unresolved.

Did you use this code for the scannow?
sfc /SCANNOW /OFFBOOTDIR=c:\ /OFFWINDIR=d:\Windows

Also copy the contents of the code box into a notepad and call it msifix.reg save it top your desktop and then select merge. You will of course need to create a restore point prior.

Also at the end of the log it says
Verify and Repair Transaction completed. All files and registry keys listed in this transaction have been successfully repaired

I am assuming that you still can not install updates after the fix in my last post check again and let me know.

You are correct. I am NOT able to install updates. I had to attend a funeral this afternoon. I will do as you have suggested in your last post later tonight and re-post results. Thank You

If you are still unable to update after the latest fix then try creating another admin account and see if you are able to update from it.
