Looks like Avast is earning its keep.  Found quite a few.  For the corrupt archive entries, I usually just delete them manually.  The path is the stuff before the |

Example:

File C:\Users\W04\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\OQXY878H\2[1].zip|>SupTab_v5.8.8.777_noblank.exe Error 42125 {ZIP archive is corrupted.}

The file is:

C:\Users\W04\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\OQXY878H\2[1].zip

I don't really know if you need to redo the tasks or not.  Defrag is one that is used quite often so it might be good if it worked.  Does it work if you manually run defrag?  The Media Center stuff might be important if he uses Media Center but he probably doesn't.
