Hello, I want to format my usb drive to ext4 partition.

Is there any software to do that under windows 8?

I am searching for days now...

Hi manin :)

From what I see on the web, the most popular program used to format USB drives to ext4 file system format is MiniTool Partition Wizard. Here's a tutorial that shows you how to proceed with it:

If you install Linux Mint as dual boot in your computer, you will be able to use GParted to format to NFTS, FAT and EXT3 and EXT4.

Hi guys, thanks for your time...

 

Aura MiniTool is the only software I have found, but it is not freeware.

There is a limitation in their freeware version, that is not good for me.

 

pcdoctor I don't want to install another OS in my computer...I had the impression that it should be easy...

 

Thank you, and if there is another opinion, I would be glad to hear it

Well, you could always create a virtual machine and install Linux Mint or Ubuntu on it, then attach the USB to that VM and use GParted to format it in ext4.
