i started modding my game today with normal mods like sim mods etc, and i saw i needed to download CEP for posters and stuff so i did. i opened the game after that and it showed the EA logo and everything normal like the intro, but it goes to the sims 2 logo screen, stays there for a few seconds and crashes. so i uninstalled CEP and deleted all the files that needed it.

 

i tried running it again and the same thing happens.

i've tried running it in compaliblity mode and running it as admin, but that made it worse...

now, it just doesn't open. i ejected the disc and said yes to autorun, and it took about 5-8 mins to open and did exactly the same thing- open, show the EA logo, show the intro, sims 2 screen, crashes.

 

can anyone help? i'm scared i've wrecked my game. i don't really wanna delete the mods because they were working fine before, and i spent a lot of time getting them. and i haven't been doing them wrong, ive been putting the extracted files in the sims 2 download folder and i opened it before and the mods worked just fine...
