I recently got a new gpu (Asus Amd radeon HD 7750 1gb ddr5) and after going ito some games ive relised my frames havnt changed sinnce my previus gpu (asus gt 730 1gb ddr3) could this be bottlenecking??? i also checked in bf4 on al settings using msi afterburner to check gpu usage and cpu usage and im 99% sure my cpu is bottlenecking my gpu.Here are some screent shots below :

usually the easy way to tell the bottleneck is if the gpu usage is low and the cpu usage is 100% or high then it's cpu limited and vice versa if the gpu is maxed and the cpu usage is low then your gpu limited.

 

the games make a big difference in where the bottle neck is usually and also because you've changed gpu architecture going from nvidia to amd/ati the frame rates may not have changed much/any because the games may be optimized for nvidia cards so you need a more powerful amd/ati card to get the same frame rates as a less powerful nvidia card.

 

to be honest i'm not sure just how much of a performance difference there is really in going from a gt 730 to a hd 7750 anyway, both are mid range cards, so the frame rate may just be about the same or an extra 2 or 3 fps anyway.

 

from your screen shots then yes i'd say your cpu limited, your dual core cpu is running at 100%.

ok but if you look in the screen shots above my cpu cores are at 100% or just under and my gpu usage never goes past 50%.also my specs are:

 

MoBo - Asus F1A55-M LX PLUS R2.0

Cpu - AMD A4-3420 APU

Gpu - asus HD7750-1GD5

Ram - 4gb

if i upgraded my CPU to this https://www.overcloc...rodid=CP-317-AMdo you think it would fix the bottlenecking?? i pick this cpu as it pretty much the best for the socket fm1 motherboards which is still available and i could overclock it to about 3Ghz

bf4 can utilize the extra cores in that cpu so you should increase your frame rates but i've no idea by how much or if the increase will be worth the money.

Comparison to your previous card and the new card here the new card is is 128-bit as opposed to the 64-bit GT 730, this means the new card will provide better quality graphics, the HD 7750 is though slower than the GT 730, as already pointed out above the additional cores will help however as I previously post in your thread here the difference in performance between the two CPUs will not be significant;

 

The A6 3670K is compatible with your MB but will not significantly improve your FPS over what you are getting now, see CPU comparison here

I would advice against any attempt at overclocking with that PSU, you run the risk of burning something out.

sorry for not keeping you updated. i haven't had the money yet to order one of these processors and its also because i think im better off waiting till my birthday and ordering this http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2c7fe99871

and than installing the asus hd 7750 into it or selling my computer i have now with the hd 7750 and buying a gtx 750 ti to install.

 

my birthday isnt until 4th december so this will probably be out of stock but there is plenty to pick from on ebay around the same price or cheaper with 8gb ram instead of 16gb
