So today, I was talking to this dude who gave me a tinypic.com link. I clicked that and the image didnt load. So a few minutes later I just decided to check my Windows Defender because I am paranoid about being keylogged. And it was off. So I tried turning it on, I click it and then it just shuts by it self. I am not saying that Ive been keylogged or that the tinypic link has anything to do with this, maybe it does idk.

Anyway so I cant turn windows defender on. So I tried turning Malware bytes on, Nope. I tried this other AV software. Nope. I deleted all AV's and AntiMalware etc from my pc and tried to run Windows Defender. Still no. Then I tried to do it manually by going on the windows services and still it isnt.

Then my dad told me to run the laptop in safe mode, and I did. And yay it turned on. Then I did a scan and it picked up a few things and I clicked removed. But then when I go back to normal mode it still doesnt turn on. So guys please help. I'm unprotected. Theres a virus which isnt letting my av's work. Currently as of now I only have windows defender installed. I have windows 8.1 and its a lenovo laptop.

I think I know what this is

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.
  • Right click to run as administrator (XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File). When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Select additions at the bottom
  • Press Scan button.
    frst.JPG
  • It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from.
  • Please attach both logs generated.
