Hello. I live in a rural area where internet options are limited to satellite service and cell providers. Luckily, I'm on a legacy plan through my cell phone provider (sprint) which allows unlimited data usage. Due to very tall trees in surrounding properties, my signal strength is shotty. It works fine for browsing Internet from phone and such but hit or miss video. Additionally, I've recently cut the cord on satellite TV service and bought the iPhone to usb cord so I can mirror Netflix/Hulu to television. Again, I've had intermittent success with this. My normal signal strength inside my home is 3G between -80 and -110. Sometimes I will get decent 4G LTE Service on the north side of my home. There is a tower approximately 2 miles away to the north and when I drive 2 minutes to the north I receive full bars in 4g at ground level. Because of this I tested the strength on top of my roof (standard shingle roof) and it seemed to be steady in 4G LTE with 3bars. So with this knowledge, my question is what signal booster would work best for me? I also am having a hard time with the price disparity between some models. For example why is this one http://m.lightintheb...t_p2275318.html$50 but this one
http://www.amazon.co...A2oL&ref=plSrch
Is nearly $400. Thanks

obvious difference is the cheap one can only repeat a single frequency ie. 850 Mhz (and i'm not sure it can repeat 3g/4g either.) which if you want 4g on sprint is no good for you according to this info that lists the frequencies used by each carrier. :- https://www.wilsonam...ies-by-provider

the second repeats more frequencies so is much more likely to work for you and is definitely capable of 3g/4g.

personally i'd look at the repeaters offered in following link for sprint, find one that is compatible for 4g-lte and then see if you can find one cheaper else where :- https://www.repeater...lections/sprint

if you need more info then i'd suggest talking to the experts at either/both sites linked and they should be able to provide you with everything you need to know to make an informed decision on the best setup for you, just tell them you have $300 to spend or whatever your budget is and see what they say.

just in case you didn't know sprint will throttle your data after you use 23GB a month depending on other things so this might severely impact you streaming video when you reach your limit, eg. stop start video playback while it buffers data.

info from here :- http://arstechnica.c...23gb-per-month/
