What happened with the purchase of this

You confused me when you were quoting something about the disc was shipped with the purchase of a Dell laptop. So I never bought it. Was hoping to figure out what it was you were meaning until all this new stuff happened.
So if I were to buy the new Windows disc and key would I be able to use that to get this computer back to life. And if so how many times can I use the disc to install windows 7 onto a computer or is it a 1 time use kind of deal?

Edit: Not looking to rip Microsoft off! Just wondering if I can use the disc on my recent computer and then when I build a pc if I would still be available to use it on their as well...

If you purchase an OEM Windows 7 disk and product key you could try using the disk to repair the present installation and keep the new product key unused ready for your new build, you would not be able to use the disc and product key for a fresh installation on the present computer and then use it again on the new build, you would need to purchase a full retail disc to do this + you would need to uninstall Windows 7 off the present computer once it had been installed on the new build, the latter may also require Windows to be activated over the telephone when Microsoft detect that the product key has already been used on another computer, a simple process that only involves punching in an automated code.
