Ok, I've got the monitor hooked up and everything worked for a little while but then the mouse wouldn't work, move, or do anything and the monitor started going off. I could restart the computer and Windows would come back up for a minute or two then go off again! How am I supposed to check it for a virus with it doing that? What can I do?

Can you do this?

Download MiniToolBox and save the file to the Desktop.
Close the browser and run the tool, check the following options:

  • Report IE Proxy Settings
  • Report FF Proxy Settings
  • List last 10 Event Viewer log
  • List Installed Programs
  • List Devices (Only Problems)
  • List Users, Partitions and Memory size
  • List Minidump Files
  • List Restore Points

Click on Go.

Post the resulting log in your next reply.
