Keep your eye on Temp 1...see if it fluctuates as you use the machine. If you minimize Speed Fan, it should put the temp in your system tray (by the clock). Use your machine and watch it for a bit.

Wannabe....the machine freezes after about three or four minutes of running. I don't think I'll get any other readings, as it is frozen again

The temps seem to be staying within range.

Let's turn down the video acceleration a bit and see what happens.

Right click on "My Computer", choose "Properties", click the "Performance" tab, click the "Graphics" button, move the "Acceleration" slider to about half way, and "Apply" the change. See if the hangs continue.

I'm really starting to think this is a RAM problem...we'll see if we can get a test on that if the video acceleration isn't the problem.

I hope I haven't done anything too terrible, but the customer I just had is an IT guy for AT&T. He saw the laptop on my chair and the GTG page on the screen and suggested I run: chkdsk/R in safe mode....I figured what the heck, did so, and now I am no longer freezing up.

What should I do next to get the bugs out???

Cool! But wasn't it hanging in Safe Mode, too?

I'd have had you try that a while ago if I'd known it would run long enough to get it started.... :whistling:

Just keep an eye on it...usually the chkdsk will do a pretty fair job of straightening things out.
