Once again I find I have forgotten how to signal that a question I posted has been: a) SOLVED and b) that I want to recognize my special thanks for the patience of a particular GtGer.
Isn't it possible to make those responses easier to find --- maybe on the initial page of a thread?

What this site's stance on Windows 10 Enterprise IoT LTSC 2021 edition? I ask because I was recently outright refused help on another site trying to fix my sound drivers. I just don't want to waste a whole day trying to type up my problems just for someone to dig into my personal life then refusing to help and telling me to just install Windows 11, coming from a Windows 10 help section.

Bit of an open ended question because if you are using an OS and product key provided by work or a place of education there will be an IT department admin who should be contacted when an end user has issues, if on the other hand the OS and product key have not been provided by such an IT department the user is using an unlicenced OS and all reputable forums have rules for this, such an example below from the GTG Terms of Use
- The posting of links or references to warez or any other type of illegal software is strictly forbidden. By doing so you risk having your user account terminated without warning. We will NOT help anyone we suspect of having obtained their software or services illegally.
