I found two possible ways to resolve this issue below. Be warned these both have to do with modifying the registry and before doing so I would strongly suggest the backing up the registry using Erunt.
ERUNT (Emergency Recovery Utility NT) allows you to keep a complete backup of your registry and restore it when needed.
The standard registry backup options that come with Windows back up most of the registry but not all of it. ERUNT however creates a complete backup set,
including the Security hive and user related sections. ERUNT is easy to use and since it creates a full backup, There are no options or choices other than to select the location of the backup files.
The backup set includes a small executable that will launch the registry restore if needed.
- Device: i8042prt - Deleting the registry key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt] solved this issue.
- Device: i8042prt - There was an issue with Hotplugging of the USB keyboard. Solved this problem by opening the registry, going to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt\Parameters] and changing the value Headless data to 0x1 (Allow Hotplugging).

To get tot he registry do the following.
Go to Start and then to Run
Now type in Regedit and click Enter
Now you will have to navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt on the left window.
Once there you will have to delete the i8042prt part on the left. Once done close the editor and reboot. Let me know if the error still happens or it resolves it.

Is the memory matching pairs from the same manufacturer?
Are they both single sided chips or chips on both sides?
Are they the same specs as in ddr,ddr2, pc2500,2600,2700...?

Is the slowest memory in slots 1 and 2?
Try taking out the new memory and seeing if that will resolve the issue. Let me know the results.
