My wife has an administration team that controls who puts software on and off. Would this have anything to do with it..I am totally fed up now....All files saved by me going int oher work and downloading them.

Can I get past this using hierens software

black screen each time....safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt and last known config and start windows normally

I have no idea....Maybe but the problem is that my wife has just finished work to have a baby and is not going back for 1 year.....aaargh! Bad timing

Was it running Vista or XP ? As you may be able to get a recovery CD from Toshiba - I will check it out

Not impressed with Toshiba as they do not offer a recovery set of CD's. I did find this place which will provide recovery discs for about a tenner
