F8 at bootup to get to the Advanced Boot Menu and then to Safe Mode With Networking.

I did both ... With networking and without and I'm getting : internet connection problem. Pls try again later.

Yes my internet was working. Gave up last night so I just tried it now and it worked .. I updated two more Intel drivers.

Ok it may be DriverMax is then having problems communicating with its servers. I'm glad it worked now so you can get more drivers.

OK when you went to install the driver it should have asked if you wanted to set a restore point? Did you do that and if so we can go back before the sound driver installation.

Yes I did ..

I also noticed that two of my installed drivers says installation failed .. but now after reinstalling it one installed fine but still one says installation failed which is Intel® 82801G (ICH7 Family) USB2 Enhanced Host Controller - 27CC. My sound is now working.

OK did you restore back to get the sounds working?

No I didn't I went into device manager and did an uninstall and reinstall .. then viola it started working.
