Ah! My apologies. I see that in post #3 you did mention that you had W7 Ultimate installed.

I have a feeling that is the problem as to why your upgrade to Windows 10 is not activating. You had Windows 7 Ultimate installed then upgraded to Windows 10 Pro. Ultimate and Pro are not the same Windows Editions. I do believe they have to be the same Editions.

Pro is the correct upgrade version from Ultimate as there is no Ultimate for Windows 10.

Was the copy of Win 7 Ultimate activated before upgrading to Win 10? If not then it will ask you for a key.

I did not know that! Thank you for pointing that out, Ztruker. :)

Hi SleepyDude,

It is a laptop. Dell inspiron. Configurations: i3 processor, 64 bit, ram 6 GB. I have attached with this the report that you wanted. I tried to copy it but it was showing some error. It was showing that same exception. So this is a snapshot of it.

MGAdiag does not cover Win10 due to the licensing scheme used.  You can run an Admin level command prompt and enter slmgr -dlv. This will only produce a pop up window with the relevent information so please post a screen shot.

Hi,

What shall I do now?? How can I solve the problem??

If you have the Windows 7 Ultimate key and prove of purchase then you should contact Microsoft and ask for help to activate Windows 10 Pro.

AFAIK they provide free support for Windows 10 users with problems upgrading.
