Windows has checked the file system and found no problems.
Hopefully that`s a good sign, time will tell when you try updating Windows 7 again, make sure that the computer has been restarted before you do and let it sit for a while to see if it auto updates first.

Nothing to lose by trying the Windows 10 ISO again I suppose, other than that all you have is using the notebook as it is and trying DBAN to wipe the drive and then running the Windows 10 ISO.

OK, the DBAN is running. It says time remaining is just over 11 hours. After that is finished do I just run the windows ISO? Thanks again.
Cheers, Jim

You and Geeks to Go provide an incredibly wonderful service. I am currently installing programs, and it seems to be going just fine. Thanks very very much again.
