BTW, I don't want to send you too big or too little a log. How long do you want me to run the Latency log?

Mostly I just had to find a place to mount the antenna where I could put some long screws in. I used an eave mount and attached the mount to an odd little wall that was on the roof (I think at one time they planned to have an upper floor that was never built). The wall is about 15 cm and appears to be stucco coated over a wood framework. I found two bolts which look like a squared off C with threads on each end. After installing the bottom mount which used two screws I drilled two more holes all of the way through the wall for the square C and put it over the mount to reinforce the connection on one side then repeated for the other. Should keep the screws from pulling out in a hurricane. (Top mount screwed into the wood so should stay without reinforcing.
Looking at the result of the fixlist we have really only 4 files that are missing. Let's see if the files exist using this fixlist. Again shouldn't take too long.
fixlist.txt 377bytes

Assuming they no longer are where they are supposed to be let's put the following in the FRST search Box and hit Search Files and let's see if they are hiding anywhere. You will get one file. Please post.
ShellExtX64.dll;nv3dappshext.dll;nvshext.dll;mscoree.dll
I don't think the log will get much bigger over time so let it run a couple of minutes.

Haha, always useful to have a spare wall for something like this. Wish all homes had this. Mine has a dormant chimney, so it's secure enough to mount to, but there are so many in the USA that have angled roofs without any secure place to mount anything to.
Searching for files...
The only file which is really not there is:
C:\Users\nvadmin\AppData\Local\MEGAsync\ShellExtX64.dll
Apparently MegaSync is no longer installed. See if ShellExView (started by right click and Run As Admin) can remove it now.
Does ShellExView still say that the other files are missing?
ShellExView still shows the missing files. Both the 'remove selected items from' and the 'add selected items to' submenu items are greyed out.
Sorry for the delay. Daughter dropped in for a quick visit.
I think if the mouse problem stays away we can forget about shellexview for now. We would need to go into the registry to remove them and I'd rather not do that.
The Latency Monitor shows a lot of activity with wdf01000.sys. This is used in driver design so I think the problem is your M-Audio FW Solo driver. I can't tell what version you have. The latest version is dated: 11/14/2009 Version: 5.10.0.5058.
Search for: device manager
hit Enter. Click on the arrow in front of Sound, Video & Game Controllers. See if you can find the M-Audio driver. If so Right click and select Properties then click on the Driver tab. It will tell you the version and date.
If it is up to date then you can try right clicking on M-Audio and selecting Uninstall then OK. Then reboot and it should reinstall. This sometimes corrects driver errors.
If it is not the latest then you can get the latest at
https://www.m-audio....ver-5.10.0.5058
In Device Manager, the driver says I have 5.10.0.5061 - 2012 (the latest)
https://www.m-audio....ver-5.10.0.5061
I wonder if the older version was better?
You can try uninstalling the current driver just to let Windows reinstall it and see if that has any effect.
Amidst all the work we did on my Computer, my Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware Beta has stopped working, showing an error "your licence failed to activate".
Uninstalled from Device Manager, rebooted, Refreshed in Device Manager, allowed Windows to install driver.
Rebooted to plug in FireWire again, then enabled using FireWire Device Enabler.
Latency Monitor V7:
After 40 seconds saw this usual error, even though I am using a high performance power plan:
"Conclusion: Your system appears to be having trouble handling real-time audio and other tasks. You are likely to experience buffer underruns appearing as drop outs, clicks or pops. One problem may be related to power management, disable CPU throttling settings in Control Panel and BIOS setup. Check for BIOS updates. "
Device Manager shows that 5061 was installed (again)
Check in the BIOS setup and see if Intel SpeedStep is enabled. There may also be an option to save power or run more quietly. Any of these should be disabled.
I think Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware Beta has been included in newer version of MBAM so you no longer need to have a separate program.
In Device Manager is there an option to roll back driver on the Driver tab? That would take it back to an earlier version of the driver if it's there. Or you could try installing the one in the link I gave you. Sometimes it will tell you the driver is older and ask if you want to do it anyway. (Otherwise it just refuses to install)
Let's run DXDIAG.
Search for
dxdiag
hit Enter. Answer any questions with yes or OK and when it finishes, click on Save All Information. Note where it save the file and then attach it to a reply or copy and paste the text into a reply.
Can't install driver manually, even after deleting the FireWire driver from device manager because launching the older driver setup file or browsing from device manager to 'update' existing driver shows the error 'cannot install because a newer driver is already installed'.
