You can have two monitors the same size but still have problems, they need to be the same refresh rate and resolution else you will get issues.

Before doing anything else you should try completely disconnecting the second screen from the computer and then testing the computer by using it the way that you normally would, if you still get the same problems you know for sure that starting afresh is your only option.

I didn't know I had to go to the second page so sorry for the late reply.

I disconnected the second monitor and It did boost my FPS by 20-30 and the test you sent also improved.

Thanks for that. However I don't think my PC is operating at It's full potential yet as my friend still doubles my PCs performance with a RTX 3060 and a 2 year older CPU.

Currently I still have vacation so I have plenty of time to start afresh If there's a good chance It'll help.

Just no clue how to properly do it as I also didn't do it properly before.

Would be really thankful if you could help me through the process .

No worries

Please click on the Follow this topic tab, top right corner of the page, this so that we can see that you are following your thread, you should then also receive notification when there is any new reply for you.

First thing that you need to do is back up any personal data off the present C: drive, it will be deleted when you clean install Windows 11 and the system drivers.

Second thing you need to do is get yourself a couple of USB thumbdrives, one needs to be at least 16GB while the other one can be any capacity as it is just for saving the required drivers to.

Get back to us once the above is done/organised.

Thanks for that. However I don't think my PC is operating at It's full potential yet as my friend still doubles my PCs performance with a RTX 3060 and a 2 year older CPU.

Like benchmarks you should not be comparing your computers performance with that of another, there are so many things that can make a difference that you just don`t go there.

I followed the thread. Thank you for that.

I backed up all my personal data and I have an external 1TB HDD and a smaller thumb drive. Would that work?

If not I would have to purchase a 16GB thumbdrive.

You need a 16GB USB stick and reason being that it is more convenient to use and you also want to keep what you will be downloading to it.

I just ordered one online, It should be here within 2 days. Guess we'll have to wait on that before doing the reset.

You are not going to be doing a reset, you are going to be doing a clean install of Windows 11 and the 16GB USB stick is for you to download and save a Windows 11 ISO to.

While you wait, you could download and save to the other USB thumbdrive the Lenovo drivers that you are going to need.

I have an 8GB thumbdrive I want to do it with. On the Lenovo website I can see which ones I still need but I can't find a full package including the ones I already have.

I did find a page with all the drivers they have in total that are compatible with my desktop. I just don't know which ones to download onto the thumbdrive as there's a lot of them: https://app.gemoo.co...279332547493888

How do I know which ones I want to download? Do I just download all 50 of the recommended ones?

I wouldnt download all of them drivers, just the latest for the main three, the most important of all the chipset drivers, then the SATA/storage drivers and third the latest Lenovo GPU drivers, below is my canned info for clean installing Windows, it must be followed to the letter so familiarise yourself with the steps while you wait on the 16GB USB stick;

Once Windows has been clean installed you must then install first the MBs chipset drivers then the storage/SATA drivers and third the graphics drivers, the drivers can either come from a disk provided by the motherboard manufacturer ** or downloaded from their site and saved to a flash drive etc, this is a must and Windows should not be allowed to check for updates before it has been done as more often than not Windows installs the wrong drivers or in the incorrect order and this can cause all sorts of problems.

The reason why this procedure is so important, the chipset is what enables the MB to be able to communicate with all the hardware + are the first drivers that Windows looks for on boot.

** For OEM computers/notebooks such as Acer, Dell, HP and Lenovo etc you must only download drivers from their support page, OEMs may sometimes redirect users to a third party site such as AMD or Nvidea to obtain the latest drivers for their GPUs, this tends to be for high end gaming notebooks and desktops though

When downloading the drivers It doesn't allow me to select where I want to download them and after that It asks if I want to replace the ones I already have or if I want to reinstall them to make sure there aren't any problems with what I had.

How do I download them onto the thumbdrive?

Create a shortcut for your USB thumbdrive on your desktop.

Go to your download folder and drag the Lenovo drivers one at a time  to the icon for your thumbdrive that you created on the desktop.

Just got the 16GB thumbdrive. Where can I find a windows ISO to download onto it?

I also tried to download the drivers onto the other thumbdrive but I don't think I did it right. I provided a screenshot of what I have, whenever I double click these installers I get the option to replace the drivers I already have.

I can't actually get the drivers onto the thumbdrive unless I already did.

Start by reading and then following the steps at the Create Windows 11 Installation Media info here

I also tried to download the drivers onto the other thumbdrive but I don't think I did it right. I provided a screenshot of what I have, whenever I double click these installers I get the option to replace the drivers I already have.

That will happen on a computer that already has the drivers installed, you are going to be formatting the drive as part of the installation process and the present drivers will then not be there.

Make sure that you do not have the driver USB in the computer until after the Windows install.

Get your ISO sorted and then get back to us.

I now have the 8GB thumbdrive with the driver installers. (It's not inserted in my PC)

I have the 16GB thumbdrive with the ISO (Thumbdrive is in my PC):  https://app.gemoo.co...682891939893248

I did read the next steps but I'm a bit worried I dont have all the drivers on the 8GB thumbdrive.

Everything is backed up and I'm ready to do the clean install.

Do you have the chipset, SATA/storage and Lenovo GPU drivers on the USB stick, they are all that you need for now and as long as the chipset drivers get installed first the others should be no problem.
