I have followed all tasks and then take out the cd and start windows without cd then i get the blue screen again aaargh!!!!

i have hiren's boot cd on screen saying
boot from hard drive
mini windows xp
mini linux
dariks boot and nuke
kon-boot
offline
smart boot
windows memory
boot from hard drive windows xp
boot

it is also saying at the bottom fix 'ntldr' is missing

OK that helps

Download the attached zip file
Extract all the files to your usb drive
Start Reatogo
Copy the files from the USB drive to your C drive

That will be : NTLDR, NTDETECT.COM and Boot.ini



Then try a reboot

saved to c drive using Reatogo and put on 3 files to c drive
pressed shut down and dvd drive opened allowing me to take out cd. then black screen asking start windows normally and then blue screen

I just saved the files in c but in no particular folder or anything apart from c if that makes sense

Yes the root drive is the correct place

Could you now retry the MBR fix using Hirens boot cd

Hirens cd screen is on but don't know which option to take?
I am guessing it is Fix ' NTLDR' is missing ??????

Aye fix - but it is still saying NTLDR missing ?

You may have to back up your data using Reatogo

What is the make and model of this computer ?
