What I need is the make and model number of the PC.
This latest update got us some improvement in Interrupts and System
Interrupts 1.90 0 K 0 K n/a Hardware Interrupts and DPCsSystem 1.07 128 K 60 K 4
CompatTelRunner.exe 44.75 93,420 K 84,900 K 10784 Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry Microsoft Corporation (Verified) Microsoft Corporation
Apparently this newest CPU eater is some sort of customer experience report. It's not anything essential and there are tons of complaints about it. You can supposedly shut it off by disabling the task that runs it:
Search for:
task scheduler
hit Enter.
This should bring up Task Scheduler
Click on the arrow in front of Windows
Click on Customer Experience Improvement Program
You will see 3 tasks in the right pane. Right click on each and Disable.
After you disable all three then reboot and make a new Process Explorer log.

You have the same PC as I do tho mine is probably older and running Win 7. HP has some new drivers for your PC.
http://support.hp.co...9/model/7784233
In particular there are a new Intel Chipset Support for Windows sp71613.exe and an Audio driver sp71569.exe that HP claims are for systems upgraded to Win 10. You should probably get these right away since the high interrupts usually means a bad driver. There's probably a graphic driver too but I don't know which one you need.
Go ahead and disable all 4 tasks. Reboot and run process explorer again.

Which drivers did you do?
Avast is doing something in your latest Process Explorer log. Make a new one and see if Avast is finished.

I installed the two you indicated.. plus the first updates in each category (Intel Chipset Support for Windows sp71613.exe [was not installed], Audio driver sp71569.exe, AMD UMA Graphics Driver sp72946.exe , Intel Graphics Driver sp74494.exe [which was denied as my computer did not meet the minimum requirements] and the HP Support Assistant sp71727.exe). I wanted to update the BIOS, but honestly don't know what's best or if i need it. Only the items in RED were installed.

In Process Explorer, View, Show Lower Pane then click on System ( you can hit the space bar to stop it jumping around then after clicking on System hit it again.)
TASKLIST /SVC > \junk.txt
notepad \junk.txt

I follow your instructions as carefully as I can, the lower pane is showing, but nothing shows up in it. What am I doing wrong?

You have to left click on something to fill up the bottom pane. In this case please click on System. If you can't get it to work go on to DPC.
