Microsoft Fix It Center Online – Gallery

Microsoft this week introduced the beta Fix it Center Online. It features both a software client, and an online component. If you’ve used Windows 7, it may look familiar to you, as it’s quite similar to the action center. or troubleshooters. However it expands on that offering with over 300 fixes, and more on the way. It also brings the experience to Windows XP and Vista users.

There is nothing ground breaking here. Knowledge Base (or KB) Fix It solutions have quietly been added over the past few months. This application expands on the Fix It brand, by making the fixes more accessible. Microsoft has been focused on making tech support easier, and more accessible. Fix It Center Onine is sure to be a useful tool for many common issues.

I wonder if this will change GTG's approach to solving malware. If it works, users could visit the site or run the software first, then come here to post a report.

Microsoft is slowly changing into a customer-centric company, but it has a long way to go.

  • This is not for malware related support. However, it may be recommended for some basic tech suppport help. Unfortunately, the only reports currently available are HTML, which limits their usefulness here (we don't allow HTML attachments).

  • I am really pleased with what I am seeing of MS recently. They do seem to be trying to improve their customer service and after sales support. I hope they continue to do so.

  • I think this is a great idea from Microsoft to start helping users understand more of their problems. Hopefully it is equip with some basic definitions for people to understand what's going on with their PC rather then just fixing it and saying the problem is all done.
